The annual East Cheltenham Community Council July 4 parade starts marching at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow. Parade units assemble at the intersection of Front Street and Asbourne Road, near the site of Cheltenham Elementary at 11 a.m.
Floats will be judged before the parade with rewards of $300 for first prize, $200 for second prize and $100 for third prize.

Children age seven and up must ride bikes, while those younger have the option to decorate coaches, strollers, wagons, bikes, walk or ride on a float. Parents must register kids beforehand.

Girls and boys up to 16 years old are eligible to compete for prizes in the 50 yard dash, flag and mini race, ping pong race, 100 yard dash, the shoe scramble, the balloon race, the pie eating contest and the balloon toss.
